About This Activity
This full-day camp combines two engaging half-day sessions to provide a fun, hands-on STEM learning experience throughout the day. Morning Session: Esports & Game Development: Minecraft Creature Clash In this exciting session, students will design and build their own Pokémon-style battle game inside Minecraft Education. From concept to gameplay, they will create arenas, design pixel-art creatures, and code interactive features. Throughout the session, students will: - Build custom battle arenas and game environments - Design and animate their own creatures - Code attack systems with hit/miss mechanics - Program computer opponents and random encounter systems This project-based experience encourages creativity, logical thinking, and game design skills in a fun and immersive environment. Afternoon Session: Augmented & Virtual Reality Exploration Students will explore the exciting world of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) through hands-on projects. Using VR headsets and tools like Merge Cube, they will interact with digital environments, create immersive experiences, and learn how AR/VR technologies are used in real-world applications. This full-day format keeps students engaged with a balance of creativity, learning, and hands-on exploration. ✔ Daily parent updates ✔ All equipment provided Students should bring lunch, snacks, and a water bottle.
