About This Activity
Must be a Capitol Heights Elementary Student to Enroll! Get ready to step inside the world of Minecraft like never before! In this hands-on STEM session, students will go beyond playing the game—they’ll become creators! Using Minecraft Education Edition, kids will: Learn the basics of coding through interactive block-based programming. Design and build their own worlds with creativity and purpose—constructing everything from dream houses to obstacle courses. Mod (modify) game elements to make their own tools, mobs, and mini-games—bringing imagination to life with logic and code! This session builds problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration skills while introducing computer science concepts in a fun, familiar environment. Whether your child is a Minecraft beginner or a seasoned builder, they’ll leave inspired, empowered, and eager to keep creating!
