Course Description: Join us for a fun and interactive 8-week cooking course designed for neurodivergent adults. In this program, participants will explore a variety of brunch recipes, learning how to prepare tasty dishes that promote healthy eating habits. Dishes will meet any dietary restriction needs. Each week, learners will: · Meet at Ascendigo before heading out to the grocery store using public transportation, practicing real-life skills such as trip planning, budgeting, and making healthy ingredient choices. · Work together in the kitchen to prepare recipes step by step, developing skills in chopping, mixing, measuring, and safely using kitchen equipment. · Share and enjoy their freshly made brunch while building social connections and teamwork. The course focuses on independence, community engagement, and healthy living, empowering participants with practical cooking skills they can use every day. Activity Cost: $30/day.
