Program Description: Universal Groove is an inclusive, hands-on music program where adults of all abilities can explore sound, rhythm, and creative expression in a fun, supportive environment. Participants will enjoy a social lunch, structured group music sessions on keyboard and percussion, and time for free creative exploration. No musical experience is needed — just a love of music and a willingness to participate! Lunch is provided. Keys to Joy: Keyboard Exploration Goal: Learn to make music on the keyboard through listening, playing, and creative expression. Guiding Principles: · Focus on enjoyment and self-expression over perfection · Use of adaptive methods (color-coded keys, simplified notation, auditory learning) · Encourage teamwork, turn-taking, and confidence-building Feel the Rhythm: Drum Ciricle Goal: Build connection, coordination, and joy through rhythm and group drumming. Guiding Principles: · Focus on participation, not perfection · Encourage communication through rhythm · Allow for movement, vocalizing, or adapted instruments · Create a safe, fun, and energizing environment Daily Schedule: 12:00–1:30 PM Lunch & Social Hour 1:30–2:30 PM Keys to Joy (Keyboard Exploration) 2:30–3:30 PM Feel the Rhythm (Drum Circle) 3:30–4:30 PM Free Expression & Cool Down Activity Cost: $25/day Personnel Cost: · Private Pay $200/day · Medicaid DD Waiver · Medicaid SLS Waiver Please note: We need a minimum of 4 participants in order to run the course.
