Description
This 10-week, full-day camp is a weekly themed camp filled with games, arts and crafts, sports and other challenges, and walking field trips in downtown Carlisle. The week also includes adventuring to local parks and trips to the Carlisle Community Pool every Tuesday and Friday. Campers will make amazing friendships and great memories. All our Camp Counselors undergo strict, state-mandated background checks and clearances.
IS OUR CAMP THE RIGHT FIT FOR YOUR CHILD?
Our type of summer day camp is what you would expect from a traditional style summer camp including a wide variety of activities, walking field trips around Carlisle, and a chance for campers to try new activities, exposure to more campers and staff at varying activities. For your child to succeed in our camp, he/she must be able to:
- follow directions
- use bathroom independently
- keep pace with the group on walking field trips (up to 3 miles round trip, with multiple breaks)
- use coping skills with large group settings
- use pool without 1v1 assistance
SUPPORT STAFF:
If your child requires an aide (TSS/BSC) during the school year or requires 1v1 assistance, please contact parksandrec@carlislepa.org to discuss an aide attending camp with your child.
AGES: *5-12 years *Must have completed Kindergarten.
LOCATION: Camp is held at Stuart Community Center, 415 Franklin Street
DATES + THEMES:
Monday - Friday, June 8 - August 14 (Closed July 3)
TIME: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Bring snacks and lunch.) Extended hours are available at an additional fee.
- Early AM: 7:30 AM - 8:00 AM
- Late PM: 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
COST (per week): 10% OFF during the month of March!

- $160/resident (live in Carlisle Borough or Carlisle Barracks)
- $175/non-resident (live outside the Carlisle Borough - another municipality)
PART-TIME (3 days/week)

REGISTRATION: online begins March 7th!
- Sign up for one week at a time or in bulk.
- Registration is required at least a week in advance (by Monday of the week prior or a $10 late fee applies)
- Registration closes Friday at 12:00 PM of the week prior.
- FULL payment is due at the time of registration for each week you enroll in.
CANCELLATIONS:
- No transfers/refunds less than one week prior to the start of the camp week.
- A 10% fee will be kept for all refunds.
DROP OFF/PICK UP:
- Parents are required to Sign In and Sign Out your child when you drop them off and when you pick them up.
- Drop-off children between 8:00 - 9:00 AM (7:30 AM if doing AM extended time)
- Pick-up children from 3:00 - 4:00 PM on M/W/Th at the Stuart Community Center (415 Franklin Street)
- Pick-up children from 3:30 - 4:00 PM on Tu/F at the Carlisle Community Pool (1236 Franklin Street)
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP:
- Backpack
- Reusable water bottle
- Comfortable play clothes
- Packed lunch + snacks (not refrigerated)
- Wear sneakers
- Sunscreen + sun protection
- Pool Gear (Tu/F)
REQUIRED FORM:
- Emergency Information Form must be returned two weeks prior to your childs first day of camp.
