About This Activity
Bring cute, cuddly characters to life with crochet! This week‑long camp teaches students the art of amigurumi - making small stuffed toys - through step‑by‑step instruction in shaping, stuffing, joining, and finishing techniques. Campers will learn magic ring, single crochet in the round, increasing/decreasing, color changes, and simple surface embroidery while completing 2–3 mini projects. A basic amigurumi kit is provided (hook, stuffing, safety eyes, yarn, tapestry needle, etc), but students may also bring their favorite yarn or tools. Intermediate crochet skills are recommended. Students will leave with finished amigurumi pieces, a pattern notebook, and skills to design and customize original characters. This course is great for imaginative makers who love hands‑on crafting!
