In the MS Leadership Accelerator, students will develop leadership skills through real-life training and practice. Students will engage in an exploration of leadership, government, and public policy, through examining important local issues like the Tijuana River Crisis. While doing so, they will communicate with elected officials, develop material for civic events, and learn how to advocate with the government. The program will focus on formal leadership training, skills development in rhetoric, advocacy, and critical thinking, and collaboration with elected officials in a professional setting. Students enrolled or considering enrolling in the Upper School Academies Programs (Civic Leadership, Service Learning, or Global Engagement) may want to participate in this camp to further their knowledge in their field of interest. See the link to the Academies page on the PRS website.
