Become a champion of the ocean during this marine science and conservation themed week! Tour a Monterey Bay research center, learn about marine science careers, and meet with scientists working in the field. Explore different conservation efforts with local ocean advocates. Delve deeper into science as we conduct tidepool-monitoring projects and dissect a local marine species. Then get ready for adventures as we head out for a kayak at sunset, learn how to surf, and set sail on the bay, looking for whales along the way. Campers must be able to swim. Activities: Surfing (gear provided), tidepool monitoring, whale watching, boogie boarding, kayaking, visit to marine science center, dissection, meeting with conservation advocates. Registration includes meals and 4 nights stay at Stevenson School, and a Camp SEA Lab T-shirt
