About This Activity
Embark on a journey down the Colorado River to explore its different ecosystems by watercraft. • Are we there yet? Campers will head to Lake Bastrop for a crash course in paddling, fishing and dip-netting for macroinvertebrates. • Communication is key! Campers will learn how to use a radio telemetry receiver to track the signal emitted from a transmitter in the field. • It’s not ‘just a river’- it’s so much more. Campers will learn about riparian ecosystems and the massive roles their tiny organisms play.
