NEW Class!! This small group voice class gives young singers an opportunity to learn vocal techniques and styles used in a wide range of Broadway musicals. Each student will work on 1-2 solo songs that they will have in their repertoire for future auditions and performances Class will culminate with a recital for our students' families. Instructor: Margaret Wolfe Margaret Wolfe is a performer and music educator with a passion for helping students develop healthy and efficient singing technique, especially as their voices change through middle and high school. She has worked with students of all ages and experience levels, across a broad range of genres. Margaret believes that anyone can improve their singing skills, and has enjoyed watching students grow as they connect to their innate desire for expression through song. An Illinois native, Margaret holds a BM in Voice Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She also holds an MM in Voice Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and spent 6 years in Texas working as a private voice teacher and frequent performer with OPERA San Antonio. While singing with OSA, Margaret appeared in Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Roméo et Juliette (Gounod), The Pirates of Penzance (Gilbert & Sullivan), and Madama Butterfly (Puccini). Margaret relocated back to the Champaign-Urbana area in 2025 and is currently a professor of voice at Millikin University. When she is not engaged in musical pursuits, Margaret works as a behavioral therapist for children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
