About This Activity
For students who love to sing, act and dance, this camp is your opportunity to take the stage! Join the fun as we rehearse and perform a one-act musical (title TBA!). This camp is designed especially for motivated theatre students with previous experience. Instructor invitation or audition is required for participation. As of Feb. 25, there are only 5 spots remaining in this camp. Email director@classactchampaign.com for consideration. DETAILS: 1) In May, all students will receive music via Google Drive and scripts to get familiar with. Video auditions for roles will be held before camp begins. 2) Students who are cast in principal roles will require some additional rehearsal time after camp hours. 3) Parents may be asked to help supply simple costume pieces. 4) We will perform our musical for family and friends on Friday, June 26 at 11am and 7pm (subject to change). REGISTRATION NOTES: 1) Tuition ($432) is due by check to COUNTRYSIDE SCHOOL. (no payment on this site) Instructor/Director: Jaclyn Loewenstein & guest instructors DAILY SCHEDULE 8:30 – 8:45 a.m. Drop-off 8:45 – 9:00 a.m. Opening ceremonies (first day), and warmups 9:00 a.m. – noon Put on a Musical camp (bring mid-morning snack from home) Noon – 12:25 p.m. Supervised lunch – (bring lunch from home) 12:25 p.m. Pick-up for campers only attending the morning camp See Countryside School website for afternoon camps! NO CAMP ON JUNETEENTH (Friday). Campers can use this day to memorize and practice at home. Extended Day options (for an extra fee) 7:45 – 8:30 a.m.
