About This Activity
Description
The Sandlot league will provide an opportunity for individuals looking to play softball casually and relaxed, in a player-led scrimmage on a weekly basis. It will give the opportunity for individuals to meet new teammates and potentially find or create a team to play on in the full standard league. The league will need a minimum of 12 individuals each night to run a scrimmage. It's a fun, less structured environment where individuals can enjoy the game, often without the pressure of a formal league or strict rules. An umpire will be onsite for 1 hour to maintain momentum and organization and to help players learn the rules of the game.
Bring your bat and glove to get some practice reps on the field! Meet new individuals looking to play and get back in the game. In this 4-week scrimmage format, you will have an opportunity to learn the rules of the game and hone your softball skills. Each registered participant will also receive a shirt. Throughout the program, if a team in the standard league is in need of a player, you may have the opportunity to join their team. Or if enough people register, a new team can be formed for the next season.
