Designed to build on competitive swimming skills, this year-round swim team focuses on improving stroke technique, build endurance, and gain speed. It's a great way for kids to meet new friends and stay active throughout the year while learning the nuances of swim team. As a measurment of progress, Time trials are offered for all participants on the last Saturday of the four-week program.
Prerequisite: Participants must be able to swim one lap (25 Yards) of freestyle and one lap (25 Yards) of backstroke without stopping.
General Information: We encourage everyone to arrive 5-10 minutes early each day for attendance and stretching. Please review the "What should you bring to practice" infographic for information on what to bring each day.
Time Trials: On the last Saturday of the four-week program, we host Time Trials for all of the participants on the team. The team will meet at their practice pool at 8am and the time trials will be no longer than two hours that morning going through each of the same competitive races offered by our summer program. Additional information about race offerings and sign-up will be sent out once registered for the month. Only registered participants can participate in Time Trials each month.
