Experience Food for the Soul! During this one-week session, campers will gain a deeper understanding of the cultural significance and resilience embodied in food traditions throughout the African Diaspora. Whether exploring the foodways of West Africa, the Caribbean, or America, campers will foster connections, understanding, and appreciation for the rich tapestry of African Diasporic foodways. This is not a cooking camp. But campers will have the opportunity to sample traditional foods prepared by passionate chefs and cultural experts. REGISTERING FOR MORE THAN ONE SESSION: You may register your child for more than one weekly session in the same transaction. For example, add both sessions to your cart if you want your child to attend the We Binyah session in Week 1 and the Food for the Soul Session in Week 2. You will pay for both sessions at check out. SIBLING DISCOUNTS: If you have more than one child, you are eligible for a sibling discount on tuition. The discount is 10% off the tuition of each additional child. For example, if you have two children, the discount will apply to the 2nd child. Similarly, if you have three children, the discount will apply to the 2nd AND 3rd child. Additionally, the discount applies across age categories. For example, if you have children in more than one age category, register each child for each session you'd like them to attend. (Example: Susie is 8 and Johnny is 12. Register Susie for every session labeled AGES 8-10 that you wish for her to attend and Johnny for every session labeled AGES 11-14 that you wish for him to attend.) All sessions that you register each of your children for will be added to your cart, and the sibling discount will be applied at checkout.
