About This Activity
Each group (maximum 13 students) meets once per week for the duration of the 13-week semester. Your child will receive age-appropriate skills instruction in canoeing and/or kayaking (beginning on flatwater and progressing to gentle moving water for 5th-8th grade groups), rock climbing (bouldering, top-roping, and rappelling), hiking, land stewardship, and a wide variety of adventure skills (including risk management, application of Leave No Trace principles, and many others) that apply to all outdoor pursuits. Activities take place at a huge variety of locations around Chattanooga, with transportation provided via 15-passenger van from a central location. All sport-specific gear is provided.
