The Boyd-Buchanan Baseball Skills Camp focused on player development, competition, and fun while teaching the fundamentals that define Buccaneer Baseball. Over the course of the camp, players participated in a variety of individual and team-based drills designed to improve all aspects of their game. Daily Activities Included: Dynamic Warm-Up & Stretching: Emphasis on flexibility, mobility, and proper pre-game routines. Offensive Stations: Batting cage work, tee drills, front toss, and live BP focused on swing mechanics, approach, and situational hitting. Defensive Fundamentals: Infield and outfield positional instruction including footwork, glove presentation, and throwing accuracy. Baserunning Sessions: Teaching proper leads, reads, and aggressive baserunning techniques. Pitching & Catching Development: Bullpen sessions, arm care routines, and pitch grip instruction for pitchers; blocking, framing, and transfer work for catchers. Competition Games: Daily competitions such as Home Run Derby, Around the Horn, and Team Scrimmages to reinforce skills in game-like settings. Character & Leadership Talks: Coaches emphasized teamwork, effort, accountability, and representing Boyd-Buchanan Baseball with pride. The camp provided a balance of instruction, energy, and fun — helping each player leave with improved skills, new friends, and a stronger understanding of what it means to be a Buccaneer.
