About This Activity
Does your child LOVE being in the creek and discovering what lies beneath the surface? Have they ever wondered about the organisms that call our creek home? In this hands-on enrichment class, students will explore the fascinating habitats in and around our beloved Friar Branch Creek while learning about the diverse creatures that live there. From crayfish and minnows to macroinvertebrates and microscopic life, young scientists will observe, collect, and study creek creatures up close—even using microscopes to uncover the tiniest details! By the end of the session, students will have a deeper appreciation for our creek, a greater understanding of the creatures that call it home, and a better understanding of proper creek etiquette and how they can be good stewards of our waterways. Instructor: Mr. David Buckler *Students will need their creek boots for this class. Must have a minimum of 4 students. Tuesdays
