Does your child LOVE being in the creek and discovering what lies beneath the surface? Do you wonder about the organisms that call our creek home? In this hands-on enrichment class, students will explore the fascinating habitats in and around our beloved Friar Branch Creek and learn about the diverse creatures found in it. From crayfish and minnows to macroinvertebrates and microscopic life, young scientists will observe, collect, and study creek creatures up close—even using microscopes to uncover the tiniest details! By the end of the session students will gain a deeper appreciation for our creek, greater knowledge of the creatures within, proper creek etiquette, and how to be a good steward of our waterways. *Students will need their creek boots for this class. Must have a minimum of 4 participants. Instructor: Mr. David Buckler Thursdays
