About This Activity
Explore the exciting world of screen printing while creating bold prints on paper and fabric. In this hands-on class, teens will learn how to design images specifically for silkscreen, cut and paint stencils, and print layered compositions using water-based inks. Students will experiment with color overlays, transparency, and graphic repetition to produce striking prints. Emphasis is placed on design, process, and creative experimentation while learning safe and proper screen-printing techniques. Students will create a series of prints including posters, art prints, and optional fabric pieces such as tote bags or patches.
