Explore the vibrant, fluid world of alcohol ink art in this teen intensive. Students will experiment with bold color on non-porous surfaces such as Yupo paper, plexiglass, acetate, foil and other specialty surfaces to create luminous abstract and representational imagery. Teens will learn how to control flow, layering, lifting, and blending techniques while also creating alcohol ink monotypes by transferring images from plates to paper on an Etching press. Additional exploration may include texture tools, stencils, stamping, and mixed media layering. By the end of the course, students will produce a collection of expressive alcohol ink paintings and one-of-a-kind monotype prints. Nicole Patrice Dul
