This is the first step towards participation in the U10 Tackle Football division. Fee will be required in person.Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism offers recreational youth tackle football for 8 year old's who have had at least 1 year of experience in an organized tackle football league. This program focuses on enhancing each youth's knowledge of the game and skill level on the field while providing a positive sports experience emphasizing sportsmanship, and fun.
Age as of July 31, 2025 determines eligibility/age group.
It is the recommendation of the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department that children do not move between age divisions but may do so with written parent approval and meeting all other requirements.
*An 8-year-old may move up to the next age division (U10) if they meet all the following criteria:
• Have had at least one year of tackle football experience in any organized league
• Meet the proper weight restrictions: Minimum Weight 70lbs, Maximum Weight: 125lbs.
• Written parent approval via the parent waiver form.
• Parents must provide proof that the child has played at least one year of tackle football in any organized league with documentation.
Once registration is completed Athletic Department staff will contact you with further instructions. If child is approved to play resident fee will be $95 and non-resident $115.
Responsibility/Consent on registration form refund policy and team placement guidelines listed. Refunds are not granted after participants are placed on teams. Team placement requests will not be granted. Leagues may be delayed or cancelled due to an insufficient number of volunteer coaches.
