Chesapeake Parks, Recreation and Tourism offers recreational flag football for ages 11-13. This program focuses on enhancing each youth's knowledge of the game and skill level on the field while providing a positive sports experience emphasizing sportsmanship, and fun.This is for coaches who are entering their own teams and players who are already attached one of those teams. Coaches, please click on "Create Team" to enroll your team, and parents, please select "Join Existing Team" and select the team you are playing for.
Age as of March 31, 2026 determines eligibility/age group. Leagues are subject to close-out prior to the last day of registration. Leagues may be delayed or cancelled due to an insufficient number of game officials. Teams may have a maximum of 14 players on their roster.
Game schedules will be posted online prior to the beginning of the season. Games will primarily be played on Saturday's starting at 9:00am. Teams may have a few weeknight games Monday - Thursday between 6:00pm and 8:30pm. Games will take place at various locations city wide.
Teams will be required to provide their own uniforms for their players. All Players are required to have a mouth guard and shorts without pockets for all practices and games. It is recommended that players bring football cleats or athletic shoes and a water bottle.
Responsibility/Consent on registration form, refund policy and team placement guidelines are also listed. Refunds are not granted after participants are placed on teams. Team placement requests will not be granted. Leagues may be delayed or cancelled due to an insufficient number of volunteer coaches. Games will take place at various locations city wide.
Due to high demand, registration may fill up prior to the enrollment end date. Please join the waiting list for the area you intend to play in if this occurs.
