Description
This 12-week musical theater program is a great way for students to explore all things music, song, dance and theater. This course will help build the foundation of audition preparation, vocal warmups, character development, movement and improv. Dress: Comfortable clothing that allows movement. Sneakers are required.
Stage Production: The Big Bad Musical - A Howling Courtroom Comedy By: Alec Strum Music and Lyrics By: Bill Francoeur
Note: Musical Theater has been extended to 12 weeks in order to practice and prepare for a full stage production on the final day. Participants must be able to perform on the last day of class.
Performance Date: Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Technical rehearsals will be held on Saturday, May 17 (10am-3pm), Wednesday, May 21 (6-8pm), Wednesday, May 28 (6-8pm), Saturday, May 31 (10am-3pm) and Monday, June 2 (6-8pm).
No class Wednesday, April 16.
Performance and technical rehearsals will be held on stage at the Camelot Community Center, 948 King Arthur Drive, Chesapeake VA 23323.
