How would you like to make your own zoo animals? Would you like to combine the worlds of art and science? Come participate in a "makeathon" to create a series of robotic pets to delight and inspire visitors to your very own petting zoo. Construct your pet from familiar materials, then use robotic components and programming to bring your creations to life. Parents will be able to follow along their child's progress, as their designing, building, and programming skills advance each week, leading to more sophisticated creations in a fun, creative environment. No prior coding experience is necessary. Each day will include a combination of "plugged" and "unplugged" activities, minimizing the time your child spends in front of a screen. All equiipment and supplies will be provided, but we suggest a water bottle and snack. Monday through Friday, right in Bragg Intermediate School.
