About This Activity
This event will explore the wonderful world of beetles. Girl Scouts will see them up close, learn about their homes and roles in ecosystems, and celebrate their beauty through a keepsake craft. By the end of the day, Girl Scouts will complete all five steps of the Bugs Badge through guided discovery, exploration, and creativity. Badge Completion Alignment- Draw a Bug – Passport Sketch (Arrival and Icebreaker) Try a Bug Craft – Jewel Beetle Jewelry See Bugs in Action – Butterfly Haven Observations Explore Bug Homes – Living Log Habitat Take a Bug Field Trip – By a Thread Exhibit Scavenger Hunt Event Details: Participants should arrive at 9:00 a.m. and check in at the front desk for Rose’s Spark Day Program. Guardians and family members are welcome to stay and explore the museum free of charge during the event. Registrants are also welcome to enjoy the museum after the program concludes. Each Girl Scout participant will receive a custom badge for the day. Bathrooms, water, and nut-free snacks will be available throughout the day inside the museum.
