Clay Creations - Grades 3-8 Get ready to get your hands dirty!! Ceramics classes are a great way to introduce three-dimensional art to a young child. Clay is an infinitely versatile medium that allows students to explore their creativity while developing hand-eye coordination. In this class, students will experience the entire ceramic-making process, from building the object using wet clay, drying it, firing, glazing, and taking home the fruits of their labor. They will create pottery and sculpture using hand-building techniques such as pinch, coil, slab, and mold. And they will experiment with glazing by exploring texture, patterns, and transparencies. Class meets Mondays from 3:15-4:15 in Ms Bloch's room. Any children not picked up by 4:15pm will be sent to ABC and charged accordingly.
