About This Activity
Welcome to Boricua Youth Reading Collective Program! What does being Puerto Rican mean to you? Have you ever wanted to learn more about Puerto Rican history and culture? Have you had bad experiences in your past reading classes? Do you have strong opinions on how to improve reading classes for high school students? What if a reading class also included music, art, movies, and other creative projects to help you learn more about your culture? We are inviting students ages 14-16 years old to participate in a research study called the Boricua Youth Reading Collective. This research study will take place at the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance, located at 3000 N Elbridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60618, as well as online using Zoom.
