About This Activity
Explore India through Dances, Folk Art, Hindi, and exciting cultural exploration! This Fall, the students will learn all about the diamond capital of the world and the Silk City, SURAT! Students will learn Dandiya dance (with dance sticks), make folk art inspired by royal Zari art, learn about the Gamit tribe, Surat Castle, local cuisine, conversational Hindi, and more! Students will receive a complimentary Maya/Neel book (that we author) and a mini-recital in outfits that Ms Ajanta will provide. *This is an 8-week session.
