About This Activity
Dance Around the World: Folk Dance & Creative Movement Students will explore the world through folk dance and global music, with each class highlighting a different region. They will experience how culture, rhythm, and tradition shape movement across different communities. Students will learn traditional folk steps and basic dance vocabulary, while also building their creative skills by using what they’ve learned to create their own dances. They will be guided to explore movement ideas, adapt steps, and combine structure with creativity. This class will foster creativity, cultural awareness, confidence, and a love of movement. No previous experience is required.
