About This Activity
Young artists will explore the exciting world of clay through hands-on sculpting and creative design! In this fun and engaging after-school class, students will learn basic handbuilding techniques using air-dry clay, including pinching, rolling, coiling, shaping, and texturing. Each week, children will create imaginative projects such as animals, mini sculptures, pinch pots, seasonal decorations, fantasy creatures, and functional art. Students will develop fine motor skills, creativity, patience, and artistic confidence while experimenting with texture, form, and color. Finished projects will be painted and decorated to bring each child’s unique ideas to life. No experience is needed — just a love for creating and getting a little messy!
