About This Activity
Happy Hands is a mixed media art class designed to introduce elementary age students to a variety of materials and techniques. With a new art project each week students will explore a variety of subjects from space to seasons to famous artists. Students will rotate through a mix of mediums including painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture with special mediums, such as printmaking, interspersed throughout the sessions. Tactile materials like clay, wax strings, oil pastels, and acrylic paint will help each child to enjoy learning the basic principles of art while inviting them to think creatively both in and out of art class!
