About This Activity

Saturday Spins (or Friday Flings) are a great way to start your adventure in clay! Perfect for a date night idea, ladies night, or a parent & child experience (min age 10 yrs old). Have you always been curious about taking a wheel-throwing pottery class but never have? Has it been several years (decades, perhaps?) since your previous experience and want to try it out again? Then this is your kind of class! Learn the basics of the pottery wheel in a supportive learning environment taught by a professional artist with decades of experience. This class is meant to introduce you to wheel-throwing technique. If you enjoy this experience, you are welcome to take it again but we also recommend that you consider one of our beginning wheel-throwing class for several weeks to continue to practice and grow as a budding artist. Ages 10+. Contact us directly if you would like to book for a private group or entire family! Come learn wheel-throwing basics like coning, centering and pulling. Expect to get messy and laugh at yourself while learning in a fun, lively environment. When you make a cup/bowl/plate successfully, we will trim it professionally and glaze it for you in one of our shop glazes and you pick it up in a couple of weeks--all included! This 1-time class may be repeated as often as you'd like if our regular classes don't fit your schedule.
