About This Activity
This class will be taught by Claremont Community School of Music. Beginning Band is an introductory music course designed for students in grades 3-8 who are interested in learning to play a band instrument. Students will develop fundamental skills in instrument care, proper playing technique, music reading, rhythm, tone production, and ensemble performance. Through engaging rehearsals and interactive musical activities, students will build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and an appreciation for music. No prior musical experience is required. Students will have the opportunity to explore and perform a variety of age-appropriate music while developing the foundational skills needed for continued success in band. The course may culminate in a performance for family and the school community, showcasing students' musical growth and achievements throughout the program.
