About This Activity
Description
In this camp, students will embark on an exciting and educational adventure as they design, build, and explore a realistic Mars mission within the Minecraft universe. First, they will research and brainstorm the elements needed for a successful Mars mission. They'll plan and design their own Mars base, including living quarters, laboratories, greenhouses, and other critical structures to support life on the planet. They’ll need to consider resource management, sustainability, and creating a safe environment for their astronauts. The campers will build their bases using Minecraft’s blocks and tools, focusing on architectural design, resource collection, and structural integrity. Along the way, the campers will also learn about real-life space exploration and Mars through educational activities and discussions. They’ll discover facts about Mars, how space missions work, the technology used, and the challenges astronauts face. This knowledge will help them make informed decisions as they build and plan their virtual mission. A $12 supply fee will be due to instructor at first class meeting.Activity Secondary Category
