About This Activity
Description
This is a two week long summer camp offering.Camp purpose: To teach local students the history of theatre, public peaking and self confidence, multiple forms of drama including comedy and improv, vocal exercises, physical control and play writing.
Day 1: Introductions, camp expectations and overview. (Ice breaking activities)
Day 2: Stage directions, getting to know your group, working togetherDay 3: Vocal activities, physical control, basic acting and group skillsDay 4: Intro to improv, learning games and exercisesDay 5: Improv, more learning games, how to write a play, split into groups, start writing own playDay 6-9: Writing plays, practicing, improv in betweenDay 10: Practice, performance to end camp!
Participants will explore the local stages here in Claremont.
