About This Activity
Description
Students will learn the basics of playing the harp in an ensemble setting. In addition to refining harp techniques such as hand positioning, note reading, string names, and fingerings, students will learn how to play together as a group, both in unison and in multiple parts to accommodate for all skill levels. Material will be drawn from folk, Celtic, and Renaissance music.If this is your first enrollment of the school year (September - June) in the Center for Music, a non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of enrollment ($35 for a single registrant, with a cap of $50 per family).
Students may sign out harps for practice at the University Circle campus by appointment.
