Description
Rock & Pop Band is designed for young musicians who wish to explore the rock and pop genres. Available for electric bass, guitar (electric preferred), piano, drums, and voice. Multiple 90-minute session options are offered on Saturdays, each encompassing a rock group rehearsal and some functional information about how rock and pop songs work. Each semester will culminate in a high energy performance at a local live music venue.
Musicians are placed in a group based on age and experience. Our ensembles rehearse at 12:45pm and 2:30pm.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner and up.
Prerequisite: All new students must complete an audition. Click here to submit an audition form. Students who have previously participated in this ensemble do not need to complete an audition and are welcome to register at this time. Click the "Enroll Now" button to proceed.If this is your first enrollment of the school year (September - June) in the Center for Music, a non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of enrollment ($35 for a single registrant, with a cap of $50 per family).
This course meets for 15 weeks on Saturdays from January 31, 2026 - May 16, 2026. Once your student is assigned a rehearsal time, you can log in to your Active account to view the complete rehearsal schedule.
