Rainey School of Music presents Vocal Explorers, a fun vocal program where students sing together and learn about music. Daily sessions focus on various musical genres, including classical, pop, gospel, and show choir. The diverse repertoire keeps students engaged and exposes them to a broad spectrum of musical styles. Through a repertoire-based approach, this program aims to provide students with the fundamentals of healthy vocal technique. They will also improve their aural, ensemble, and communication skills, and overall musicianship. By introducing principles of sight-singing, students will also learn to read music and sing confidently. Designed specifically for young singers from 3rd to 8th grade, Vocal Explorers creates a fun and supportive environment where students can discover and develop their voices. They will also benefit from working as a team, building friendships, and working towards common musical goals.
