About This Activity
In this unique after-school enrichment program, students will take on the role of a pediatrician and nurse through hands-on activities and immersive role-play. Students will explore topics such as learning about the umbilical cord and how to cut the cord, performing baby CPR on their plushie babies, discussing the Finnish Baby Box and making their own, discussing vaccinations, practicing giving shots, talking about the important roles nurses play before, during, and after surgery, and more. The class culminates with an informal graduation ceremony with students receiving a personalized Little Medical School diploma!
