The Jags Winter Cheer program will provide cheerleaders with the necessary skills, technique, and performance abilities to succeed in competitive cheer. We foster teamwork, discipline, and a passion for cheer while preparing our athletes for the challenges and excitement of competitions.Team placements will be announced mid-August. Please note your athlete must have participated in fall cheer with the Jags to register for a winter competitive team. Those not placed on a winter cheer squad will be refunded from winter competitive cheer.
CostsRegistration Fee: $729Must have cheer shoes from the following three brands chasse, Nfinity, or kaepa. Shoes to be worn inside at practice only. $30 and aboveCheer bow using same one from Fall season $25 if neededPersonalized competition baseball jersey $25
Travel/lodging/family admissions to local competitionsIf teams receive top bids to finale competitions, teams may travel to Virginia Beach or Orlando, FL and the mini team may travel to Pocono Mountains, PA. All costs would be paid by families (admission, travel, lodging). East Howard Jaguars’ Booster Club will be fundraising to assist with these costs.

Winter Season DetailsSeason runs from November to the end of April. Teams will either practice on M/W/Su or Tu/Th/Su. Weeknights are held at Bellows Spring ES or Long Reach HS, with Sunday being a one hour tumbling class (in the afternoon) at Emilia’s Gym in Laurel. (Tumbling classes included in price)
Parent Information MeetingThere will be a virtual information meeting on Nov. 7 at 6pm to discuss specific information about winter cheer and to answer questions.
