About This Activity
Description
Become meteorologists for the week and discover why our weather changes! As Jr. Meteorologists, measure and record rainfall, create a water cycle wheel, build a weather station, learn about the Greenhouse Effect, create a terrarium, design your own tornadoes, and create “snow” during the summer! End this fun-filled week by demonstrating the three states of matter by making and eating ice cream. Throughout the week, take home projects (sun prints, UV beads, wind vane, anemometer, and a very cool rain stick)! Before you know it, you may be on the news doing the weather!
All-day camps: bring a non-perishable, nut-free lunch, snack, and reusable water bottle. Half-day camps: bring a non-perishable, nut-free snack and reusable water bottle.
If your child will need to bring medication with them to camp, please fill out the Medication Administration Authorization Form (Camps) found by clicking here: https://www.howardcountymd.gov/recreation-parks/forms-publications. After clicking link, got to "Camps, Classes, and Activities". It requires a doctor's signature, so please allow enough time for it to be complete before the start of camp.
