About This Activity
Description
Kids of all ages love space, so we created Little Space Explorer for the younger kiddos! We all enjoy watching the launch of space rockets from NASA, learning about the first steps by man on the moon, watching astronauts float in zero gravity, and seeing those bulky space suits. Campers become astronauts in training while learning and participating in handson activities about the sun, moon, planets, and the life of an astronaut. Projects include making moon sand and fizzing planets, creating a galaxy, participating in an astronaut obstacle course, and more. All-day camps: bring a non-perishable, nut-free lunch, snack, and reusable water bottle. Half-day camps: bring a non-perishable, nut-free snack and reusable water bottle.
If your child will need to bring medication with them to camp, please fill out the Medication Administration Authorization Form (Camps) found by clicking here: https://www.howardcountymd.gov/recreation-parks/forms-publications. After clicking link, got to "Camps, Classes, and Activities". It requires a doctor's signature, so please allow enough time for it to be complete before the start of camp.
