Description
Building relationships with infants and toddlers is the foundation for building language and literacy development skills. As you talk, read, and share language-rich experiences with infants and toddlers whether one on one or in a group, you are helping them to build an understanding of the language being spoken and the world around them. When you respond to a child's attempt at communicating you are showing them that efforts matter, their communication matters, these attempts at language should be encouraged.
