Learn the important role you play as part of the Chesapeake Bay watershed! Explore the Middle Patuxent River to search for aquatic creatures. Take a special off-site field trip to Annapolis for an interactive boat ride on the Chesapeake Bay with the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Explore maps of the bay, experiment with how water travels, and meet the Maryland state reptile that calls the bay home.
Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather with a hat & sunscreen. Bring a nut-free snack, lunch, and reusable water bottle. This camp will take field trips off site with transportation provided by a local school bus company. Signed permission slips for the field trip will be required to participate. Field trips are subject to weather conditions.
Refund Policy: Customers requesting a refund prior to three weeks before the camp starts will be charged a 20% administrative fee. However, a 100% refund can be issued to your Howard County Recreation and Parks account for future use instead. All refunds requested within three weeks of the camp starting date will be charged at minimum a 20% administrative fee. Additional fees may be assessed to recover costs associated with the camp. There are no refunds given for missed camp days.
