About This Activity

Description

Learn to produce original electronic music, beat making, and more electronic theatre controls (ETC) through the newest version of Ableton Live 11 Suite and BandLab. With hands-on experience, learn what audio and MIDI are; how to make original beats; the fundamentals of rhythm; how to record and make your own music; and the basics of mixing a song so others can enjoy! BandLab for Education and Ableton are perfect ways for recording and mixing your own music - whether you are a solo artist or a part of a band! After the camp, enjoy knowing this powerful and useful tool to help create tracks. It is strongly recommended that you bring a laptop with Google Chrome. Casual summer attire is preferred. Highlight your work at the end of the week through a performance on our stage. Tie-dye a T-shirt! Bring a non-perishable, nut-free lunch, snack, and reusable water bottle. Info: Jon Quinton, 410-313-4674 or jquinton@howardcountymd.gov.
