Bushcraft camp is all about hands-on experiences using traditional skills to live without modern help. Campers will step into the world of bushcraft while discovering the incredible ways plants support our lives in the wild, and learn to see the forest as a living toolkit—nature’s medicine cabinet, grocery store, and craft shop. We’ll identify helpful plants, learn about Nature’s First Aid, discover edible wild foods, and gather natural materials for crafting and building. Throughout the week we’ll practice age appropriate essential outdoor survival skills including shelter-building, fire-building, water filtration, navigation, and cooking wild edibles over the fire. Campers will also craft with plant materials—making simple tools, cordage, and nature-based creations while learning how plants have traditionally been used for healing, nourishment, and everyday living. Campers will create take-home first aid kits and naturally tie-dyed t-shirts made from wild plants at camp. Group assignments will be emailed out the day before camp. Campers will be placed in peer groups based on age, experience., and other considerations like friend requests. > Sparks- youngest campers > Flames- middle campers > Blaze- oldest campers
