About This Activity
At Discovery Wilderness school, we view mentors as the leaders of our student body. Mentors will have both hands-on experience in the classroom as well as daily leadership training before and after class. We also offer monthly field trips that create community through adventures that stretch their limits. Teens are inspired and empowered to act as leaders in their community with skills in decision-making, teambuilding, effective communication, and connection to the natural world. We strive to create a community of teens who feel safe exploring their unique gifts and passions with confidence. We continue to learn and grow alongside our mentors and have 3 levels of mentorship. This is to provide the opportunity to grow and be challenged no matter what your objectives and skill level are. Requirements to apply: - Level 1: Current Discovery student or willing to dual enroll in field study and mentorship - Level 2: has completed Level 1 - Level 3: has completed level 2 - Work study: has completed level 3 This $45 application fee is non-refundable. However if you are accepted into the Mentorship program, your $45 registration fee will be waived. Once the application fee is paid, you will receive an email with a link to the application form. Once the form is filled out, Sara V will contact you to set up an interview. This is an application fee only. Your child is not enrolled in the Mentorship program until you've received an acceptance letter and register via the link provided.
