About This Activity
Description
Participants will learn the basic principles of self- defense to take control of their lives and safety by learning mental and physical preparedness. Instruction is conducted in a friendly, self – paced learning environment. Unusual physical ability and flexibility are not required for the program. Students dress in comfortable loose fitting clothing and be prepared to take an active part in class.
Instructor Bio: Sensei West has been participating in martial arts for over 15 years. He began with Sensei Green where he obtained a greenbelt. He went on to train with Sensei Callahan and Sensei Williams, attaining the rank of 3rd Dan in Tracy Kenpo. Sensei West is the process of completing his 4th Dan and has also trained in Aikido for several years under Sensei Clark, additionally having trained under Sensei Desch in Tai Chi. Sensei West is currently training under Master Hamm, founder of World Budoshin White Tiger Hapkido Federation. Sensei West kenpo class is an affiliate of Tennessee Tech University, offered as a P.E. credit.
