About This Activity

This unique week-long intensive is designed for vocalists eager to gain experience in solo singing through jazz and Latin music. All participants will also have the opportunity to work with other vocal musicians in jazz vocal ensembles. In addition to honing your vocal artistry through daily performance opportunities, you'll enhance your musical knowledge and exposure in courses taught by Frost Jazz Vocal Performance program director, Dr. Kate Reid, and other faculty members of the Frost Studio Music and Jazz department. Daily classes cover music theory, jazz improvisation, music business, and entrepreneurship. Workshops in audition techniques and college prep are also available throughout the week, culminating in a final concert. Join us at Frost this summer and make music with us! Application Process: 1. You will submit your application with audition materials with your initial application fee of $50.00. 2. Once submitted, your application will be processed, and it will be reviewed by the program directors. 3. If accepted, you will be notified of your next steps via email with instructions on how to complete the process to secure your spot for the summer. NOTE: Submitting an initial application does not imply an automatic acceptance. Program Cost: Application Fee (non-refundable): $50.00 Camp Tuition: $1,250.00 Camp Housing (Optional): $1,000.00
