About This Activity
Bulldog Brainiacs is a summer learning acceleration opportunity exclusively for Riviera students and families. Taught by Riviera teachers, these fun-filled learning focused sessions will give your rising Kindergarten and first grade students the chance to sharpen their literacy, math, and critical thinking skills in project-based learning setting. Grab your binoculars and get ready to trek through a wild jungle of learning! In this adventure-filled session, our little explorers will swing through the literacy vines as they strengthen letter and sound recognition, blend sounds, build CVC words, and grow their sight word confidence. Math becomes a rainforest expedition as campers discover addition, subtraction, ordinal position, graphing, number patterns, and even an introduction to coins through hands-on jungle themed lessons. Along the way, they’ll investigate fascinating jungle animals and ecosystems, build fine motor and handwriting skills through creative projects, and collaborate on interactive missions that spark curiosity and teamwork. Rising first graders will deepen reading fluency and story structure skills while applying place value, operations within 20, and measurement in playful, jungle-themed problem-solving activities, because in this adventure, every learner is brave, capable, and ready to roar!
